This word is People’s Daily Online, China Daily and Xinhua’s favourite…

I feel that “entreprise” is from French “entreprise”, like “entrepreneur” for those who run the companies. And modern English uses less the word entreprise. Right?

“The Enterprise” is a good ship.

Trockeneis: Yes, they love it. Still, I hate it.
carreras: Good point. However, the British probably stole the word when a company was something new, daring and exciting. Perhaps “企业” doesn’t have that adventurous feeling, but in my opinion, “enterprise” does…
… which is why it is used for Star Trek. Thanks Chery.
Please note, entrepreneur is not just someone who runs a company. Again there is a slight difference. I will explain in a post next week.
Thanks for the comments!

it seems entrepreneur is similar to founder but this word is much more possitive, am I right?
