又遇到一个在不应该出现的地方出现“s”!
在几乎所有情况下，翻译“人才”时，talent不是可数名词，所以即使形容“很多”人才也不应该加“s”。加“s”就像The company has a lot of peoples (公司有很多人)一样别扭。
不管一家公司有多少有才的员工，形容公司、大学、国家等等的人才时，还是应该用“talent”。例句：
There is an abundance of talent at Ogilvy PR 【 奥美公关真是人才济济呀】；
There is a lot of hidden talent on the job market 【 人才招聘市场里藏龙卧虎】。

不过，可以说一个很有才的人有“talents”（有不同的才能）。例句：
Michael Jackson had multiple talents － he could sing, dance and act【迈克尔·杰克逊多才多艺，他能歌善舞，还很会演戏】。

The word “media” is a constant stress, one that I think is used wrong all the time, by native speakers too. I think I will save that rant for another time though…

So the “one talent” usage is actually outdated?
I’m confused by your insisting “talent” as uncountable.

@Rhing – I can understand what you guys say, no problem. It’s writing stuff back in Chinese that I struggle with…
@Danse Macabre – The editors of the Guardian are not wrong. Nor is John Milton, for that matter. However, I stick by what I said. In most situations, it is not a countable noun.
If you are anything like the people I have worked with over the years, you will agree that when there is a need to translate the word 人才, talent is almost always not countable.
There will always be exceptions. All I am trying to is address frequently occurring problems.
